Alpine Clayworks Studio

Alpine Clayworks is the home studio of Art Petch. It is the only Ottawa region source for custom-made ceramic decals. Alpine Clayworks is equipped to produce laser printed decals, both coloured and sepia (black iron toner).
Alpine Clayworks also provides more conventional studio services such as kiln firing and glaze making.
In addition, local artists who need intermittent access to studio equipment are invited to make use of the equipment at Alpine Clayworks for a small fee.
Examples include:
- spraying a glaze to finish a project
- firing a small experimental piece
- experimenting with a new technique that is awkward to do at home
- extruding test tiles for glaze tests
- trying out or learning how to use equipment
- making laser printed or screened decals
- making small or large amount of glaze from scratch

Alpine Clayworks is participating in the New Clay Conference Studio Tour and will be open to visitors on Friday May 24, 2019 from 12pm until 5pm.

The studio's decal-making (and other) equipment will be displayed and the decal making process outlined.

Anyone attending the New Clay Conference may order a decal in advance of the open studio date and either pick it up during the open studio hours or at the conference at 50% of the normal cost.
